Ob81.com Finally Back Online
So the inevitable happened.
After almost 2 years, I finally got back around to working on my personal website. So many stories came up that I wanted to write about. So many photos were taken that I wanted to share. A lot of changes were going on in my life, and I took a step back in my online presence to clear everything up.
For those of you that follow me on twitter, you have a good idea of some of the changes that have happened in the last year or so. For you crazy people that haven’t added me yet, add me! Since the last time I blogged, I have moved from Japan and settled down back in the States. Virginia Beach, Va is where I lay my head these days. Thanks to the stimulus, I decided to buy a home in a nice little corner of Virginia Beach. What better time to buy than when the prices are low?
My big-headed son has grown a little bigger, and my wife has become an active leader in our community. As we have pretty much gotten settled in our new life, I finally turned my attention back to that itch: Blogging and photography.
I allowed my site hosting to expire, so the first hurdle I had was dealing with the fact that all of my archives were lost. You never realize the importance of something until it is gone, and my older posts felt like my foundation. I got over it and built ob81.com from the ground up. A fresh start. Hopefully I can apply lessons learned into today’s product.
I wanted a more personal feel for my site this time around, and I wanted to focus on photography a bit more. As always, I will be primarily writing about tech and social networking. Social networking has taken huge strides in the past year or so, and it has been a challenge for me to “get back into it”, but it wouldn’t be fun if it came easy!
